Rotarians also brought their wonderful family and friends who helped: Ashley Waterson, Evan Waterson (Mark’s son), Brandon (Steve Smith’s son), Adriana Lim (Steve’s wife), and Karla Barron (Ken’s girlfriend).** Evan, Co-Chair Mark Waterson’s son who will be 2 in April was a great help. According to Mark: “It was a fun experience to have Evan begin his volunteer and philanthropy education, and hopefully some of the important life lessons he learned will stick with him as he grows up!”Villa Esperanza Services Dimensions Day Program is designed to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to become active members of their community. Individuals learn independence and work-related skills through regularly scheduled volunteer work, community projects and other educational programs.About the Pasadena Rotary ClubMembership in the Pasadena Rotary Club is open to professionals, business owners, nonprofit executives and retirees representing a variety of vocational classifications in the greater Pasadena area. Rotary is the largest international service organization, working to eradicate polio worldwide, building wells in rural communities across the globe and funding schools for girls around the world. Locally, Pasadena Rotary gives time, talent and treasure through a variety of programs and volunteer activities to its community. Rotarian’s focus is “service above self.” The Pasadena Rotary Club has over 200 members that meet at a weekly at the University Club Pasadena with amazing, dedicated members contributing to the well-being and growth of the community, region, and world. Pasadena Rotary will host a fundraiser on 8/18/16 at the Pasadena Museum of California Art which is open to the public to help raise funds to support its programs, some include: Happy Feet (providing shoes at the start of a school year for PUSD elementary school students); Adopt-A-School; Done In A Day; Toy Drive; RYLA -Teen Leadership; Rotoract; Shop With A Cop; Interact; and Teachers of Excellence to name a few. Hot weather warning for Limerick
