NT tourism to struggle against dollar

first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: N.J While the strong Australian dollar increases affordability on international travel, an industry group in the Northern Territory is expecting the value of the dollar to slow tourism into the state.    With domestic tourism making up the majority of NT visitors, according to Tourism Top End general manager Tony Clementson while it is too soon to confirm, the dollar could “dramatically affect” visitor figures, ABC News reported.”We still are a destination of desire to a strong volume of people,” Mr Clementson told the source.”Our attraction is our nature and culture. “It’s here, it’s abundant and we need to maintain an optimistic approach to that and take up every opportunity to move forward.”last_img
