first_img1 Divock Origi in action for Lille Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admits the club have held talks with Lille about the possibility of ending Divock Origi’s loan spell.The 19-year-old will join the Reds next summer, having agreed a deal during the 2014 World Cup in the Brazil but, as part of the deal, the Belgian forward remained at the Ligue 1 side for this campaign.Rodgers’ side have struggled up front this season, following the departure of Luis Suarez, and a number of injuries to star striker Daniel Sturridge.Reports had suggested the Northern Irishman could return for Origi, but the Anfield chief has distanced the club from a move, which could cost them as much as £10million to end the loan spell early.“He is a player who will definitely be here next summer but whether he will be here in January….there has been some discussion but there is nothing to report on it,” said Rodgers.“The agreement was with Lille for him to stay there so we will see how that works, but if not we have the players here who are developing and we will go with what we have got.”last_img read more
