Koke’s springKoke returned to Granada. Headline. And, voila, Atlético won again. It would already be a trend. If in his absence he staggered until the presence in the Champions positions, at this moment the Cholo team is again third. After Granada came Valencia, tie, and later Liverpool, the ‘coconut’ of Europe, the champion of the Champions, the Klopp team that had only lost two games in the season, and one played with his team C, and 1-0, victory rojiblanca, and then did Villarreal, the team with which Cholo has the worst winning percentage (33%) in the League behind Madrid (24%) and Barça (0%), and also wins. And Koke’s goal, the third of the season, but the first of his life that he can dedicate to his son, Leo. Life with Koke as pirate life, life better. The numbers are incontestable but even more so are the sensations. February Athletic has nothing to do with January. Then he chained a month without winning in the League, now zero losses in four games. A discharge changed everything. The one of Koke Resurrection (Madrid, 1992), the bracelet returned to its arm, the victory also to the Athletic one. The pitos that a part of the stands dedicated to him in September sound more like heresy. That’s why he always plays, what Simeone might say. There is no Atlético footballer who improves his teammates as the captain does.Koke was injured on December 22 in the match against Betis (1-2) and was also low in the next, before Levante (2-1). He forced himself to be in Arabia, the Spanish Super Cup, but could only play 27 minutes against Barcelona. There, clack, myotendious lesion, obligation to stop. How he lived the Super Cup derby from the stands, unable to help his teammates on the grass, while still getting up in his seat, going down to cheer on his teammates at the end of the 90’s, before the penalties, was another game within the match Then winter fell on Atlético. Cold winter, lead. Five games without the captain, four defeats. Madrid in the Super Cup, Eibar in Liga, Cultural in Copa and Madrid again in Liga. In between, Leganés, tie. Very cold winter.
